Riding through the forest areas of Jim Corbett National Park in a canter can be a memorable experience. Canter safaris for day visitors are operated in the Dhikala zone. Travelling through designated forest routes in an open canter gives a wider view of the landscape and is suitable for groups and larger families. As per current rules, the forest department generally allows around 15–16 visitors in one canter at a time. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed and always depend on season, weather and the natural movement of animals.
Usually, the safari runs for several hours in the morning and in the evening, as per the official schedule. Booking a canter safari in advance is important because demand for this experience is high and seats are limited. Visitors are required to provide correct personal details and identity documents when submitting a booking request, and must carry the same original ID proofs when reporting for the safari. All bookings are processed as per forest department rules, availability and permit approval.
At Corbett Tour Travel, we assist guests with information and support for submitting canter safari booking requests in the Dhikala zone. Our role is to help you understand the process, share updates about availability and coordinate required details, while all final permits and allocations are managed by the forest department. For more information and assistance, you can contact us by call, WhatsApp or enquiry form.
